Illustration
Inspiration for Kelly’s illustrations arise from innumerable sources: everyday observations, design magazines, conversations with friends. In many ways, they are the lens through which she sees the world. They offer a means of exploring and reimagining life with wonder and nostalgia. A simple sketch in her favorite graphite pencil soon becomes a line drawing in ink. Then, with washes of vibrant gouache or art marker, the whimsical anecdotes jump off the fine paper.
